The featured theme for Gengo Kenkyu No. 140 (September 2011) is ‘Language Change’. Language change is a central issue in historical linguistics, but we would like to expand the scope of this thematic issue to include many kinds of linguistic research relating to language change, including, but not restricted to, language contact, standardization of regional dialects, grammaticalization, and language acquisition.We invite papers that present original data and/or analyses relating to this topic. The deadline for submission is January 31, 2011. Please follow the Rules for Manuscript Submission and the Style Sheet of the journal when preparing/submitting a manuscript.
